Meet Kathryn Dodds
Clinical Nutritionist
B.HSc NutDMed, AdvDip. NutMed
I'm Kathryn, a Clinical Nutritionist in the Hunter region providing holistic dietary support for individuals and families.

I am passionate about helping my clients build healthy eating habits & nutritious meals in their home. As a Nutritionist, I'll work with you and your unique medical history, presenting conditions and dietary requirements to help you achieve your health goals.
I am experienced in working with child and adult presentations of Autism and ADHD, and helping picky eaters gain confidence in trying new foods.
In 2016 I completed an Advanced Diploma of Nutritional Medicine, and then continued my studies to complete a Bachelor’s Degree of Health Science: Nutritional and Dietetic Medicine at Endeavour College of Natural Health in Sydney. My clinical practice experience is in integrated health centres, treating a wide range of health conditions and with clients of all age groups. I quickly found that I enjoy helping people make positive long-term changes in their diet, and with their perspective towards food.
When I am not working, I love spending time with my husband, family, and friends. I'm always up for an adventure and love being out and about in nature.

What Food Could Do For You
Food plays a significant role in overall health and wellbeing. In a nutshell, Nutritional Medicine is the science of how different foods and the human body interact, and the use of specific dietary changes to prevent and treat disease.
Nutritional treatment includes using specific nutrients to improve chronic conditions, symptoms and quality of life. All nutritional advice, treatment plans, recipes, mealtime strategies, and supplements, prescribed for you are evidence-based and personalised to your specific requirements.

Different foods have different balances of vitamins, minerals, macronutrients, sugars, fibre, and the list goes on! It can be incredibly confusing to know what to eat and what to avoid for specific medical conditions. That's where I come in. As a Nutritionist, I love helping people learn about how food interacts with their body and what specific nutrients they need to get from their meals for their conditions and unique circumstances. I also love helping them enjoy the food that is beneficial for them.

Food is a fantastic tool for prevention of chronic disease and treatment of current conditions. What we eat is a foundational part of our overall health. Like exercise, quality sleep, stress management and other lifestyle modifications, food can be a stepping stone. When you eat food that nourishes you and gives you what need, it can make all the difference in achieving your health goals.
